Once everything is complete you’ll see an overview of your items, shipping costs, and payment options: iDEAL, PayPal, or manual transfer.
If you choose manual, you’ll receive an e-mail within 24 hours. If anything needs clarification, we’ll be in touch first. Your order is confirmed as soon as payment is received.

Precious matters uses PostNL for domestic and international shipping.
The moment your payment is received, the order is placed, so your item will be packed and sent out within 1 week (7 business days), unless we have agreed otherwise. Delivery times depend on the destination and local postal services.

Within the Netherlands: packages are sent with Track & Trace.
Outside the Netherlands (Europe & beyond): packages are sent registered, requiring a signature upon delivery.

1 Policy }
All legal relations are exclusively governed by Dutch law. These terms became effective on 13-04-2018 and were last updated on 24-09-2025. Preciousmatters.com is a Dutch website and webshop; Dutch distance selling regulations (Wet kopen op afstand) apply to all items. All prices on this website include applicable Dutch VAT (21% or 9%), unless otherwise stated.
You can find detailed information about each item (dimensions, sizes, materials, order process, shipping) on this website. Please make sure you know everything you want to know about a product before placing an order. Some reproduced items may include minor, subtle differences. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!
Privacy of your data: Your personal information is collected and used solely to process your order, communicate about your purchase, and for bookkeeping required by Dutch tax law. Your data is never used for marketing purposes, newsletters, or sold/shared with third parties.
2 Shipping & Delivery }
The moment your payment is received, your order is placed, and your item will be carefully packed and sent out within 1 week (7 business days), unless we have agreed otherwise. Delivery times depend on the destination and local postal services.
Precious matters is not liable for delays, loss, or damage caused by postal services or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure), including but not limited to strikes, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events. Once your item is with the postal service, any delivery issues are the responsibility of the carrier.
If anything goes wrong, I will always do my best to help track or claim your package, but please understand that delivery times and issues are not directly under my control.
3 Returns & Reflection Time }
Your happiness with your item is the ultimate goal. If, for any reason, you change your mind about a ready-to-go item, you have 14 days from the day you received your order to return it.
If you want to cancel before the item is shipped, please let me know as soon as possible so the order can be undone without complications. Once payment is processed, the order is considered placed.
To return an item, please send me an e-mail first. I’ll provide a return form and instructions for sending it back. Use the original packaging if possible, or a solid, clean shipping box, and include the return form inside.
4 Refunds }
Returned items that are unused, unworn, and in their original condition are eligible for a full refund of the item price plus the original shipping cost. Refunds can be provided either as shop credit or as a money refund, at your choice.
If items are worn, used, incomplete, or damaged, Precious matters may refuse the return or deduct a repair fee from the refund. An estimation of any deductions will be communicated in advance.
Refunds will be processed within 14 working days after the return has been received and inspected. You’ll receive a confirmation e-mail once your return has been processed.
5 No Returns }
Items that are custom-made or specially adjusted for you cannot be returned.
However, your satisfaction is important. If you are not happy with a custom item, please contact me. Together we can explore possible solutions, such as adjustments or repairs.
6 Damages }
Please don’t use or wear products if you are unsure you want to keep them.
If you need to return an item that has been used or shows signs of wear, mention this on the return form and include photos. I will review the condition and determine possible solutions in advance. You might still receive a partial refund, adjusted for repair or shipping costs.
Precious matters always communicates clearly about these adjustments so you know what to expect.

8 Repairing & Warranty }
Did something happen to your item? Don’t worry: we’ll look for a solution together.
Precious matters provides a 3-month warranty from the day you receive your item. If a defect or damage occurs during this period due to normal use, Precious matters will take responsibility for repairing or replacing the item.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Attempts to modify or repair the item yourself

Use for purposes other than intended or improper handling
Even after the 3-month period, contact me if there’s an issue. Often, repairs can still be done easily. My first choice is always to fix the item in my studio, but if that’s not possible, we can explore solutions with a local artisan. We’ll discuss options and costs before any work is done.
